Roland joined SCS Noonan Scholars as Chief Program Officer for High School and College Programs in July of 2019. Prior to becoming a part of the SCS Noonan team, Roland was a high school and college administrator, and served as a dean at Dartmouth, Bates, and Harvard.
With a focus on diversity, inclusion and building community, Roland has worked with numerous students who are from low-income backgrounds or the first in their family to go to college, and mentored them through the completion of their college degree and beyond.
Roland holds a B.A. in history and sociology from Bates College, and M.S.W. from Boston College, and Ph.D. in education from the University of New Hampshire.
